Ogun info commissioner charges workers to be more creative

Members of staff of the Ogun State Ministry of Information and Strategy have been charged to bring new and lofty ideas to bear in the discharge of their duties in the New Year, as this would further contribute towards the rebuilding mission policy of the present administration.
Ogun State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Chief Adedayo Adeneye who gave this charge at the New Year thanksgiving service of the Ministry, said Government placed priority on workers’ welfare and there was need to give back to the people by being up and doing and dedicated to their duties.
 Represented by the Director of Administrative and Supplies (DAS) Mr. Nofiu Adebiyi, the Commissioner admonished staff of the Ministry to be more innovative and creative as against the usual practice in the outgone year.
’To whom much is given, much is expected, Senator Ibikunle Amosun- led administration is doing everything humanly possible to protect the interest of its workforce and provide succour to the good people of the State. So, as Civil Servants, you must not drop the ball, rather be proactive, diligent and committed to your duty because the rebuilding mission of the State requires the support of all’’. He said.
On the conduct of staff, Adeneye said it was important as individual to recognise what was acceptable socially, morally and professionally, while urging staff to shun indiscipline or  act inimical to their image.
He however thanked members of staff for the warm reception accorded him on arrival in the Ministry.
Earlier in his sermon Tagged: ‘2016 Year of Great Reward’’, the immediate past Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Rev. Ibikunle Onasanya who took his text from Genesis 15:1 charged officers to align their ways with God, noting that He is the only one that rewards people.
According to Onasanya, ‘’you must pitch your tent against corruption and immoralities in order to excel. Also be reminded that whatever you do has a reward from God who rewards according to the work of individuals’’.
He however encouraged staff of the Ministry to work diligently in the New Year just as Abraham did and made God his reward.
Also speaking, Special Assistant to the Governor on Media, Dr. Olubunmi Oye charged staff to put God first in all they do, saying with God all things are possible.
