Nig Army Dismisses Rumour of Losing 105 Men To B’Haram

Following a report recently on media that over 100 Nigerian soldiers prosecuting the war against Boko Haram have lost their lives to the rootless insurgency terrorising mostly the northern part of the country, Chief of Army staff, Lt. General Tukur Buratai has described it as a figment of imagination.
General Tukur, while speaking to news men said “It is not true that our soldiers are missing. The soldiers went on a mission for the Nigerian nation and they have since returned and joined their Battalions”.
Some online media reported that about 105 men out of 157 of the Battalions soldiers including their commanding officer went down when boko haram attacked Gudunbali in Borno State, on Wednesday as a T-72 tank was also hijacked from the soldiers.
