Boko Haram Financier – Mohammed Maina Napped By Troops


Nigerian troops have intercepted and arrested one Mohammed Maina, alleged to be a suspected financier and stimulants’ dealer for members of the terrorists group, Boko Haram.
Mohammed Maina was napped in Bama, Bama Local Government Area (LGA) of Borno State.
This is just as troops of 112 Battalion and Special Forces on Monday night in Mafa and Dikwa respectively on a joint fighting patrol raided a Boko Haram camp at Bulungwa Naibe in Dikwa Local Government Area of Borno State
During the operation, quite a number of the Boko Haram terrorists were killed just as troops recovered one Buffalo vehicle mounted with an Anti-Aircraft Gun, a Rocket Propelled Grenade, 2 Machine Guns and 1 Sub-machine Gun.
Others items recovered include 5 AK-47 rifles, one Fabrique Nationale rifle and 2 Sewing Machines used for sewing uniforms by and for the terrorists.
The terrorists used to launch attacks on hapless civilians in Dikwa general area.
The Boko Haram financier, Mohammed Maina, a native of Ngurosoye, who hails from Shuari village in Bama Local Government Area, was arrested with one million Naira cash and some items in his possession.
Investigation revealed that Mohammed Maina supplies the terrorists Kolanuts and other items especially stimulants.
Further checks by the military indicate that Mohammed Maina plies Maiduguri-Dikwa-Kulli axis where he gathers monetary and other materials contributions from Boko Haram sympathizers and sends same to the terrorists’ camps.
Mohammed Maina confessed that kolanuts is in high demand among the terrorists as it keeps them active at night.
A statement to this effect by the Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Usman said the military is glad to report that troops’ morale remains very high and ever ready to continue with their duty in the most professional and responsive manner.
