AFRIMA 2015: Sauti Sol of kenya Floors P-Square

Sauti-SolThe saying that life is “turn by turn”; no man rules forever aptly conotes the situation at the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) where the Nigerian sensational singing duo of identical twin brothers, Peter and Paul Koye of P Square fame was heavily defeated by an Afro pop band, Sauti Sol of kenya.
P Square and the Sauti Sol were horn-locked as nominees in six different categories at the awards presentation event but the Nigerian duo had their hands empty as the Kenyans bagged two prestigeous trophies home.
The Kenyan band, formed in Nairobi by vocalists Bien-Aimé Baraza, Willis Chimano and Savara Mudigi in 2005, carted away the best African Group of the year and Producer of the year.
Initially an a capella group, guitarist Polycarp Otieno joined before they named themselves Sauti.
