Police arrest alleged Imo Priest’s killer gang member in Lagos

Operatives of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS), Ikeja, Tuesday arrested an alleged member of the kidnap gang that killed a priest in Owerri, Imo State.
Raphael Ndukwu, 29, a native of Imo State, was also alleged to be an armed robber.
It was gathered that the suspect was apprehended after he kidnapped one Gloria Emordi in Orlu and collected her Toyota Venza Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV).
After the operation, the suspect allegedly fled to Lagos but was arrested when the police got a hint of his whereabouts.
According to a source, the suspect led a kidnapping and armed robbery gang that had terrorised Imo and neighbouring states.
He said: “He usually came to Ojo to hide after each operation. He was arrested by FSARS operatives, after a tip-off. From our investigation, the suspect is among the gang members that killed the reverend father in Owerri, Imo State.”
