Thursday, 28th of June 2018, will forever be cemented in our memories as yet another black Thursday in the history of our dear Lagos State.
This is because of the tanker explosion on the Lagos end of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway which consumed many lives and cars is unfortunate, pathetic and horrible.
These are the words contained in a statement by The President of TAMPAN Omooba Dele Odule on behalf of the entire members of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Producers Association of Nigeria saying we grieve with His Excellency, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, the entire Lagos State government and the families and friends of the deceased over this unfortunate incident.
We pray almighty God grants everybody concerned the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. Omooba Dele Odule would also appeal to the Lagos State government to enjoin the federal government to urgently resuscitate all collapsed transportation infrastructures especially the railway.
Without a doubt, the effective operations of these infrastructures will permanently reduce, if not eradicate totally, fatalities on our roads. Your Excellency, may God continue to uphold and guide your government in the right path.
