Senate Committee on Women Affairs and the Wife of the All Progressive Congress (APC) National Leader, Oluremi Tinubu admonishes African female youths to channel aright their gift in order to help make the continent better.
The Senator, represented by Mrs Oluwakemi Soname at the maiden edition for Face of Trek Africa FOTA2016 beauty Pageant made this admonishment while delivering speech on “Engaging the Women for Africa Economy Development”.
Mrs Soname, speaking on behalf of Mrs Tinubu commended the Organizers for joining hands in the empowerment of the African Women and enjoined the women to continue to be an instrument of progressive.
The event which took place at the NECA House at Alausa Lagos was sponsored by top companies
In attendance were dignitaries from all walks of Life who came to cheer the contestants after a long week of training, programmes and anxiety buildup.
However, Miss Ifeoma Muoka was crowned the winner of Face Of Trek Africa 2016 and also won the Miss Photogenic. Other winners are Vivian Aso (1st runner up and also Miss Amity, Triona Uweh( 2nd runner up and Miss Creativity) and others includes Adebayo Omolola (Queen of Catwalk).
The event was hosted by LOLO1 of Wazobia FM, and Judges in attendance included Mr. Prince-Class and Madam Dupe Noma, the special guests includes Senator Oluremi Tinubu represented by Mrs Oluwakemi Soname, Chief Mrs. Amina Temitope Ajayi aka Mama Diaspora, HRH Igwe Kelvin Oputa Obiel of Imo State, Queen Seidat, Mrs. Temitope Okunnu, Sir Francis, Dr. Babatunde of Kleinburg Medical Center and Magritte Adewunmi amongst many others.
Some of the designers that showcased their collections at the event are Sugga Collections and Bridals, House of Di’Ela Label, TopRoyal Collections.
The event which was handled by leading events company, Purples Events World was a beauty to behold and the contestants who were groomed by world of dance power couple John Paul and Empress Thelma gave a superb performance despite the initial challenges encountered.
Other than the captivating performances by the contestants, another highlight of the day was the music performance; the audience was mesmerized by the performances of Akofah whose Songs challenge LOLO1 out of her seat to the stage dancing with the award winning artist, other artists includes Tusco and Yung Ace, Austin Swagger and Imelda J.
The TREK Africa team was overwhelmed by the massive turnout and support the event garnered.
The TREK Africa team includes Oki Samson Mckinggs (CEO of McKinggs Media Productions), Adenike Fakayode (Chairman of International Planning Committee), Temidayo Yusuf (Director of Planning committee), Tony Barony (Stage Artist Manager), Bola Yusuf (Camping and sessions coordinator) and Okoro Ada (Special Duties).
