PDP chairman, Muazu resigns

imageFresh information coming from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) indicates that the crisis rocking the PDP has taken a turn for the worst as the national chairman of the party, Adamu Mu’azu allegedly resigned as the national chairman of the party. It was gathered that the chairman finally bowed to pressure when it was obvious that the PDP governors have all deserted him.
The information adds that His resignation takes effect immediately.
Also , it was understood that President Goodluck Jonathan has asked the chairman of PDP Board of Trustees (BoT), Chief Anthony Anenih to resign his office as the BOT chairman. But it is not known whether Anenih has accepted to resign or not.
With this development, members of the National Working Committee (NWC) may also begin to resign from their position. This is because of pressure being mounted on them to quit after a disgraceful performance in the last election. A party chieftain who spoke on condition of anonymity said ‘ if you lead a troop to war and you’re defeated, the honorable thing to do is to step aside’ adding ‘our chairman has done the right thing’
