Ibrahim, 43, was brutally murdered in cold blood by dare-devil armed robbers in his home at Kado Estate near Gwarinpa in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
A traumatized NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi said of Abubakar’s sudden death:
“He was full of life when he left the office yesterday; the Federation has lost a dedicated and assiduous staff. This is so painful.”
NFF, however, announced on the social medium that Abubakar remains is being taken to Kaduna for burial.
‘Ibro’ as he is fondly called, joined the Nigeria Football Federation in 2007. He will be buried later today at his residence in Kaduna according to Islamic rites.
He is survived by a wife and three boys.
