Strong indications have emerged that two former governors of Ekiti state are poised to return to the government house. As for the immediate past governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi all machinery of politics have been put in place to ensure he clinches the party’s ticket as the next gubernatorial candidate of All Progressive Congress. For instance, the former governor who is also the current minister for solid minerals is said to have taken over the Ekiti APC party machinery. In another development, it has also been rumoured that the minister has the backing of Abuja for his return to the Ekiti government house.
It was exclusively gathered however that Engr. Segun Oni is relying on the national party machinery to make his ambition a reality. According to a reliable source, the former governor has also indicated that the former house of representatives member Oyetunde Ojo is being dangled to be the deputy governor.
Interestingly, most of the foot soldiersof Oni are said to be closely linked to Fayemi’s campaign machinery likened to a case of enemy within.
