To this end it was gathered that the governor has continued to mend fences with political big wig in the state.
At a recent meeting in London, the governor was said to have offered a senate ticket to the former governor Alao Akala who is believed to have the grip of Oyo north votes.
Also at the meeting was a former gubernatorial candidate of PDP, Senator Teslim Folarin who has also been promised of a ticket to go back to the Senate.
With this arrangement, sources say the governor believes it will be an easy ride for his caucus to clinch victory at the next poll.
It would be recalled that the decentralisation of the Ibadan royal institution has been linked to a ploy by the governor to break the power bloc of the Ibadan elders, an allegation regarded to be in bad taste.
