According to the brand communication and Sponsorship director, Matlou Tsotetsi, ‘’The idea of AFRIMA is to promote and showcase African music to the largely untapped non-African population in Africa itself and to the global audience. Also, to promote unity and peace in Africa through instrumentality of music. So, all eyes on Sunday, October 6,2013 for the winner of the hosting right for the next five years” The event which is centered around the promotion and marketing of African music is by far the largest gathering of such magnitude and hosting is earnestly sought by different African countries due to the great leveraging opportunities that the platform provides.
